![]() ![]() In effect, you're essentially issuing errata to a card before it even comes out! It's the sort of fudge that Decipher did in the dark days to get a card to work the way they wanted it to, rather than the way it actually says it does. So yet another new rule will have to be created specifically for this. We all know by now that you have to go by what cards actually say rather than what you think their intent may be. A new player will make the obvious assumption that he therefore doesn't qualify. The card says ".personnel with "Deep Space 9" in lore.".Īnd Julian Bashir (for example) does not have that phrase in his lore. (Google also lists SAOImage DS9: "an astronomical imaging and data visualization application", but I don't think we're in danger of confusion there). Nice to finally give Dax a ship too.īTW: contrary to what it currently says in the database, Colonel Day, Colonel Kira, Julian Bashir, Melora Pazlar and Ruwon do NOT have "Deep Space 9" in their lore, they only have "DS9", which clearly aren't interchangeable.ĪllenGould wrote:[As far as I know there's only one object that is called DS9. Orinoco looks good, and making it a "scout vessel" was a good way of making an otherwise useless card better (the Federation's first and only one). This is something that really needs addressing. I would not expect a single card to address all of these issues - it would be too powerful if it did, but I certainly hope at least some of these are dealt with in some manner.Īlso, of paramount importance it doesn't allow you to go through the wormhole without being "stopped". It doesn't allow Federation cards to be downloaded by Ops From a Bajoran point of view, a combined force has significantly stricter attack restrictions It doesn't allow Bajorans to attempt Federation missions (or vice versa) It doesn't allow Bajorans to staff Federation ships (or vice versa) I do like Here by Invitation, but I hope there's more cards to come on this theme, as in itself it doesn't really do a great deal to inspire me to play a combined Fed/Baj deck, as it does little to alleviate the inherent problems of combining two (or more) affiliations. ![]()
